Books Read 2012

Last year's crop of books read is a doozy. It spans the classics and current books for very young children through complex dramas.  I like to think of my reading tastes as being eclectic and this list would prove me right about that.

What have I learned from all of this?  That's an excellent question. I've learned that some people should stop beating the horse after it's dead... I'm speaking to you, Ann Brashares and Cassandra Clare.  I've learned that sometimes the classics hold up so much better than I imagine they will. I've learned that Not everyone can write children's books... ahem John Grisham. Theodore Boone is just the least likable, least believable character I've come across in a while..... and that's saying something!!  I've learned that sometimes children's books can pack quite a punch and deserve to find much wider audiences.  And, I've learned that despite my love of free books from Barnes and Noble for my nook, often I get just what I paid for!

So, without further ado... THE LIST.
