Free Book and Assorted Book Links

I follow Mr. Southard on Twitter and this morning he posted about his book being available at Amazon.  It's available in paperback and the kindle version is free!  You can collect yours here.  Then stop by his twitter feed and let him know.  I'll try to read my copy soon and get a review up.  I've got no preconceived notion of what this book could be about by he also wrote a book called A Jane Austen Daydream which sounds like it might be a lot of fun.

• Are you a cat lover?  I'm more of a dog person, myself, but I never shy away from a book list and today I got an email from Flavorwire with this article about 10 Great Books Starring Cats. I've read most of them and will definitely look into the others.
• NPR's website has a whole bunch of great articles to celebrate summer reading, which is my favorite kind, along with spring, fall and winter reading!  First up is an Indie Booksellers list of the best summer reads.  You should also check out their Five Great Summer Reads for Teens. Then there's Five Books to Look Forward to this Summer and be sure to check out Female Perspectives: Five Novels that Let Outsiders In.  
• Flavorwire has 30 of the Most Beautiful Sci-Fi Covers which gives some eye candy and some food for thought for readers.
• Have I already posted Buzzfeeds 25 Signs You are Addicted to Books? I'm pretty sure I didn't need to be presented with any evidence to diagnose an addiction I'm not ever going to try to cure!
• This is from way back in poetry month, but still seems worth posting, 10 Great Movies Based on Poems.  Of course, most of these you already knew.  But, I never thought about the source material for Mulan.  I love Mulan. Well, I'm all for the girl power, so it just figures.
