Wednesday Web Love

I swear I've been reading up a storm.  I was reading a book a day for half of my vacation and then I started on The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay and my pace slowed significantly.  That's not to say that I'm not enjoying the book immensely, because I am.  The idea that superheroes are golems is fascinating.  I'm sure I'll be finished in another read or two. How do you qualify reading sessions? I enjoy curling up in any of the lovely reading spaces in my home to enjoy the peacefulness of the house and fit in a chapter or two.  When it isn't too hot, I love to sit by the pool or in the gazebo and read.  And, everyday, I look forward to getting into my jammies and climbing into bed with a book.  

I've currently got a back log of 13 book posts which need to be written and published. I promise to get working on those immediately.  In the meantime, I've stumbled across endless fun and interesting articles on this here world wide web.  So, with no further ado, I present ample opportunities to enjoy the wasting of much time.

• The amazing Leila at Bookshelves of Doom posted this infographic of the scientific naming of those who fit into the domain of reader.  I'm definitely Reader, Book Lover and then part Compulsive Book Cherisher and part Free Range.  What is your classification?
• Book Riot has a mash up of Pride and Prejudice (using photos from the Keira Knightly version) with Parks and Recreation quotes.  If you are a fan of either, you must check it out.
• Flavorwire is celebrating Irrational Hate Week and they've posted this list of authors their staffers, well, irrationally hate.  Not scientific, not journalism, but sometimes it's just nice when someone agrees with you in your irrational hatred. Conversely, nothing gets you pumped up than some righteous indignation when you are averse to another's irrational hatred.
• Brain Pickings published an article on science and religion, with letters on Einstein's thoughts on a higher power.  Good stuff.
• Get confused by so many books with the same or similar titles, especially in the YA category?  You (and I ) are not alone.  Over at Stacked, they show a variety of title overlaps.  I've gotten myself completely off track and, occasionally, accidentally stumbled upon some new and enjoyable reads (not just YA) this way.
• Now, on to my version of crack, the 100 best books lists.  Book Riot posts what they consider to be the 10 Best Top 100 Book Lists. They are missing some of my favorites, but they include a couple I wasn't familiar with, so all is forgiven.  
• Jason Diamond at Flavorwire chimes in with his thoughts on Entertainment Weekly's 100 Best Books list. You can find the original list on the EW site by clicking here. It's not perfect and I totally understand Diamond's point.  But, we live in a world where there is always someone ringing the death knell for the printed word. Anything that gets people reading works for me.  
• Again at Flavorwire, we've got the required reading list for The Bling Ring.  I love a themed reading list.
