Hello, My Name is Ruby

Hello, My Name is Ruby  by Philip C. Stead

This was another book I saw on various lists of best children's books for 2013.  Ruby is a tiny bird who heads out to make some friends. She's inquisitive and curious and learns about herself and the birds she meets in her travels.

I think little kids will relate to Ruby and her interest in the world and her fascination with the people she meets.
