The Tortoise and The Hare

It's Saturday, and I'd like to devote the weekends to posts about children's books. I read a lot of them, but never count them as part of my overall book count. Well, because that would totally be cheating.  I love reading a kids' book and then having it occur to me that some child I know would, or at least should, really enjoy it.

The Tortoise and the Hare by Jerry Pinkney

There are no words, just Pinkney's beautiful illustrations telling the famous story.  Perfect for readers and pre-readers alike.  If you and your children are fans of classics stories told without words, but beautiful artwork, check out all of Pinkney's books.  I thought his The LIon and the Mouse was utterly amazingly gorgeously done.
